Plastic Binding:
Plastic binding is a process where plastic material is used to hold the sheets of a document together. It is an inexpensive and durable method of binding.

There are various types of plastic binders available on the market. Plastic comb binders bind documents quickly and economically, making the material lie flat without any bulges. Plastic comb binding makes use of binding supplies of diverse colors and sizes, and also allows you to alter the document at any time. Plastic coil binding machines employ a sturdy yet supple coil to bind the material together. The coil is quickly woven into the punches. The end result is a compact, secure document that looks presentable and professional. On opening, the pages will lie flat.

Heavy-duty plastic binders are apt for large-scale binding requirements. They save the company both time and money.

PLASTIC COMB BINDING
Also know as ' GBC Binding ': An efficient, economical choice for reports, sales presentations, training manuals, cookbooks and more. Documents will lie flat and pages can fold back. The binding process is simple: first punch the pages; then insert the comb into the machine and pull the handle to spread the comb open. Lay the punched pages into the comb and pull the handle to close the comb. Plastic Comb bound can be easily disassembled and reassembled without damage. Machines can be purchased as either a combination punch and comb-bind binding system ; or as two separate machines: a punch and comb opener. The combination plastic binding system is for low to mid volume use in offices, print shops, schools, churches, etc. While the punch and comb opener as separate machines allows are recommended for greater punch capacity and increased production. Each plastic comb diameter binds a maximum number of pages and is purchased based on the size of the document to be bound.

PLASTIC COIL BIND
Flexible plastic spiral coil gives a new look to professional documents, proposals, reports, calendars and more. This method is not only great for documents that need to lie flat but also enables pages to fold back. Coil binding involves a simple 3-step process: punch the pages; insert the coil; snip/crimp the coil ends. Coil is spun onto document using either a roller : the punched edge and started coil are leaned against a spinning roller, or mandrel: punched pages lay flat, coil slides over mandrel, wheel spins coil onto document.
Machines can be purchased as either a binding system that combinds a punch and coil inserter into one machine, or as two separate machines: a punch and coil inserter. The combination coil binding system is for low to mid volume use in offices, print shops, schools, churches, etc. The punch and coil inserter as separate machines allows for greater punch capacity per lift and increased production for larger jobs.
Each plastic coil pitch and diameter binds a maximum number of sheets and is purchased based on the number of sheets in the document to be bound.

Wire Binding:
Wire binders (also known as double loop binding machines) come in various types. Most wire binding machines are manually operated and their capacities range from binding 46 pages to almost 250 pages. Wire diameter is an important factor to be considered while selecting the wire binder. A higher wire diameter means higher capacity. Each wire binding machine is designed to bind either one of the below wire types:

3:1 Wire - With this wire, the paper is punched 3 holes per inch, which is 32 holes per standard 11" sheet size. It is available in sizes ranging from 3/16" up to 9/16" in diameter. It has the best appearance of all double loop wire and is recommended for documents up to 125 sheets (20lb paper) thick.

2:1 Wire - Pages are punched with 2 holes per inch or 21 holes per standard 11" sheet size. 2:1 wire is used for binding books that are too large for 3:1 wire and is available in sizes ranging from 5/8" to 1". The wire is more durable and sturdy than 3:1 wire. Recommended for documents 140 to 250 sheets thick (20lb paper).
